ISLE Activities - Lighting Courses

ISLE has conducted several courses on Lighting and related fields over the years

In addition to the above, the Indian Society of Lighting Engineers has conducted two courses with international faculty in 2000 and 2001

A Lighting Educators’ Course was organised specially for a group of 19 Lighting Educators from India at the Lighting Research Center, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York from July 17 to 28, 2000.
The group consisted of 8 architects, 8 from the lighting industry and 3 from Home Science departments of Universities.

ISLE organised in association with University of Sydney ‘Principles of Lighting Course 2000’ during December 2000 and early January 2001. This course was held at all 5 State Centre headquarters and was attended by 194 participants.

School of Illumination Science, Engineering and Design, Jadavpur University and ISLE organised a course 'Basic Aspects of Lighting' in May, 2002.

ISLE with the support of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency ran a 2 day intensive courses on Lighting Technologies and Applications conducted by the Lighting Research Centre (LRC), Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA at Mumbai and Chennai in December 2010

In September 2013 LRC ran 2 day courses on Solid State Lighting at Bangalore and Delhi.
